PANIC BROTHERS – with Matt Harvey & Peter Farrie Exeter Phonix

June 29, 2014 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

£12

Reg Meuross and Richard Morton are reuniting as the fast paced, close harmony, hi-energy singing duo the PANIC BROTHERS, for a special run of gigs and festivals, 25 years on from their heyday.

Their sell out launch gig in Brighton in May was opened by none other than Phill Jupitus as Porky Poet, who describes the Panic Brothers as ‘Simon & Garfunkel with better hair and gags’

Reg and Richard have lost none of the musical and lyrical edge and wonderfully “spine chilling harmonies” [the Guardian] which originally established them as a formidable live act, first on the London pub circuit and then throughout five years of highly successful touring and TV work.

The Panic Brothers are now looking forward to bringing their “Excellent snappy songs, booming acoustic guitars and perfect harmonies” [Music Week] to Exeter Phoenix.

They will be in good company. The show will be opened by quirky, thought provoking Exeter singer songwriter Peter Farrie, who has been compared to Divine Comedy, Difford & Tilbrook and Jake Thackray, followed by performance poet Matt Harvey, whose way with words has taken him from Totnes to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships via Saturday Live and the Edinburgh Festival. “Very funny…” The Independent
“…not only funny, but tender and true” The Guardian
“One of the country’s finest performance poets”
