In 2018 Reg will be continuing to tour until the summer with FARAWAY PEOPLE, the second in his solo trilogy of albums (the first being DECEMBER), plus a surprise new release (out on February 2nd) SONGS ABOUT A TRAIN.
2017 was also a year in which Geoff Lakeman covered Reg’s song England Green and England Grey in his debut album After All These Years. Here is Reg’s original: https://youtu.be/KdewAuU3nMc. Reg has also been busy co-writing with Seth Lakeman for Seth’s next album and also recorded a compilation album with Stockfisch Records in Germany (still to be released). The Living Tradition magazine featured Reg, here is the article: http://www.livingtradition.co.uk/articles/regmeuross
As well as touring with the Two Albums Tour until July 2018, Reg will be showcasing a new song cycle, 12 Silk Handkerchiefs, a multi-media platform show inspired by the book The Headscarf Revolutionaries by Brian W. Lavery. Reg will sing the song cycle with local musicians, and Brian will narrate, to a back drop of slides from the story of Hull’s tragic Triple Trawler Disaster of 1968 and the revolutionary women from the fisheries (the ‘Headscarf Revolutionaries’) in particular Lillian Bilocca, who were behind an incredible campaign for improved safety on the trawlers.
