Reg Meuross solo: 12 Silk Handkerchiefs and other stories in song

February 29 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Reg Meuross, with special guests Julu Irvine & Heg Brignall.

TICKETS Box Office: 01803 415987 open Monday – Saturday 10am – 12noon or BOOK TICKETS

Reg Meuross brings a rare solo performance of his song cycle 12 Silk Handkerchiefs, opening a window on Hull’s Hessle Road fishing community and fish wife Lillian Bilocca’s extraordinary campaign for improved safety at sea in the aftermath of the 1968 Triple Trawler Disaster. Accompanying himself on his ‘44 Martin six-string guitar, tenor guitar, banjo, dulcimer and harmonica the award winning singer-songwriter will also perform songs from new album RAW along with some old favourites. The breadth and depth of his material is unparalleled in contemporary folk: songs about forgotten heroes, famous names, folk legends, the climate emergency, tales from the kitchen sink and news from the world stage; if something needs to be sung about then Reg Meuross has a song for it.
