Reg & Hank's No Hall Too Small tour continues to pack audiences into the village halls of England. Kelvedon Hatch on 20th January was number 137. Look out for more in the Gig List as well as some village hall dates with Reg's Trio & other guests.
Reg was back in California in November 06 at The Far West Folk Conference in Sacramento where he made some new friends & contacts. The result is another tour of California & Texas in May/June this year.
Also this year look out for some one-off duo dates with Reg & the brilliant fiddler & multi instrumentalist from Show of Hands Phil Beer. Details to follow on the gig list.
Reg began recording work on a new collection of songs this month. Written mostly on the road, they are songs written from stories collected throughout England. Including the story of the real Dick Turpin; the story of William Brewster - a founder of The Pilgrim Fathers - and his family; A song about the first world war soldier Harry Farr who, last year became the first soldier to receive a government pardon for desertion. August will see Reg & Hank heading north to the highlands & islands of Scotland. Beginning on the 18th August in Bowes & Gilmonby, Cumbria. They will then head north as far as the Isles of Eigg & Orkney, ending on the 2nd Sept at The Kirkgate centre in Cockermouth.
