I have known Tony De Meur aka Ronnie Golden since I first ventured into the alternative cabaret scene at The Earth Exchange in North London back in the mid 80’s. I am still baffled why someone so multi talented; a brilliant singer, harp player and an outstanding comedian, has not found the recognition that many of his contemporaries enjoy.
We had talked about writing together for many years and this was the only attempt. Just this one song (Too Late To Be Lovers), and I think it’s a beauty, especially in this new soulful version with Simon Wallace on piano.
