I played this song in a Hotel Room Guerrilla Showcase at Far West songwriting conference in Sacramento, during George Bush Jnrs administration.. There were about 6 people sat around the room. When I finished I noticed tears streaming down the face of the woman closest to me. When I asked why she replied that recently she had felt such despair for her country and the course it was taking under a dubious leadership, but this song had given her a sense of pride and hope for America. Maybe this is a good time to air it again…
